Discovery Phase of the Appraisal Cycle

During this time of year, appraisers may be seen throughout the county measuring new residential and commercial construction, reviewing and updating characteristics of existing real property and business personal property. Appraisers will have a badge and business cards identifying them as employees of the Coryell Central Appraisal District. 


Property Tax Exemptions Available

We are now in the process of accepting exemption and special valuation applications for 2015. Please see our forms link for applications including: Residence Homestead Exemption, Disabled Veteran’s, Non-Profit Organization, Agricultural Valuation and others.  Please contact our office if you have any questions. 

There is no fee or cost associated with applying for an exemption.  April 30, 2016 is the deadline for submitting an application.  Some exemptions may be filed late.  Please contact our office for more information.

It is not the responsibility of Coryell CAD to establish tax rates or collect property taxes. For questions concerning tax payments and taxes due please visit the Coryell County Tax Office website at coryellcountytax.com or call the Coryell County Collector/Assessor at 254-248-3142.


Low Income Housing Rate

The capitalization rate which Coryell CAD will use in the valuation of properties with a Community Housing Development Organization designation is 8% for 2015.
