2015 Appraisal Notices Are in the Mail
If you disagree with your value, you may file a protest. Protests are due June 1, 2015 or 30-days after the notice has been mailed. You may file the form that came with your notice. You may also file online.
Click Online/EFile Protest to protest your appraisal online. If you are a new user, you will need the EFile PIN located on your notice of appraised value. If you used our online protest website last year, you will use the same login.

Property Tax Exemptions Available
We are now in the process of accepting exemption and special valuation applications for 2015. Please see our forms link for applications including: Residence Homestead Exemption, Disabled Veteran’s, Non-Profit Organization, Agricultural Valuation and others. Please contact our office if you have any questions.
There is no fee or cost associated with applying for an exemption. April 30, 2015 is the deadline for submitting an application. Some exemptions may be filed late. Please contact our office for more information.
Business Personal Property Mail-out
Renditions for 2015 business personal property have been mailed. Section 22.01 of the Texas Property Tax Code indicates that a person shall render for taxation all business personal property used for the production of income that the person owns or that the person manages and controls on January 1, 2015. Agricultural Application Mail-out
In order to ensure accurate information and confirm qualifications for agricultural valuation (ag exemption), our office has mailed agricultural applications. Applications are also being mailed to new owners of previously agriculturally valued property. Complete this form and return to our office by April 30, 2015. Adjoining properties may be included on one application. Properties that are not adjoining will need separate applications. Please see our Frequently Asked Questions, Example Ag Application and the Coryell County Ag Manual for your convenience. Feel free to call our office if you have questions or need assistance completing the application.
Homestead/Over-65 Exemption Mail-out
In order to ensure accurate and correct application of exemptions, many property owners are being asked to confirm their qualifications for the Residence Homestead / Over-65 exemption (or surviving spouse). Applications are also being mailed to new owners of previously homesteaded property. The completed form should be filed with our office by April 30, 2015. A copy of the applicant's Texas issued ID with address matching the homestead application must be provided (Texas Property Tax Code Sec 11.43(f)). Active military may provide military ID with a utility bill for the subject property.
Discovery Phase of the Appraisal Cycle
During this time of year, appraisers may be seen throughout the county measuring new residential and commercial construction, and reviewing and updating characteristics of existing real property and business personal property accounts. Appraisers will have a badge and business cards identifying them as employees of the Coryell Central Appraisal District.

Low Income Housing Rate
The capitalization rate which Coryell CAD will use in the valuation of properties with a Community Housing Development Organization designation is 8% for 2015.
